Project Proposal:
Mountains serve as essential sources of freshwater for communities across the globe. Using time series geochemical samples I will collaborate with James McPhee at the University of Santiago to integrate glacial melt, snow melt, and ground water to determine source water for the Yeso river in the Maipo watershed. This project will elucidate glacial melt processes and provide the basis for continued climate change modeling and water management in central Chile.
